Applications for the Australia Awards Scholarships 2021 Intake is still currently in the process of screening, evaluation and panel deliberation. We hope to finalise the shortlisted applicants by 4th quarter of this year and will advise applicants of the results accordingly.

Over 100 Australia-supported Filipino alumni recently gathered virtually to engage in meaningful conversations on women leadership during the pandemic. Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation | Swinburne University of Technology

Ross Ann Capalit successfully launched her book the "Basics of Entrepreneurship: A Guide to Building a Startup for Deaf Individuals" last July. The handbook, which is part of her re-entry action plan, provides a guide to the deaf on how they can kick-off their journey as entrepreneurs. The handbook also featured stories of thriving deafpreneurs to give inspiration to other deaf individuals who would like to start their own business as well as information on how and where to access support.

This is Teacher Archie's story. Australia Awards alumnus Prof. Abelardo Apollo David Jr. was awarded a Special Citation in the 2019 Australian Alumni Excellence Awards for his work in promoting a more inclusive society. He built the Independent Living and Learning Centre (ILLC) – the biggest special education (SPED) school in the Philippines – and founded the REACH Foundation, which sets up community-based rehabilitation programs for children in poor and remote communities.
